Leading sink and tap producer Franke has been recognised as one of Novembers top innovators in its field.The brand was singled out by manufacturing design software specialist Autodesk as its Inventor of the Month for November 2007, highlighting Frankes commitment to innovative product design.Franke was claimed to have put Autodesks own design solutions to good use, through the creation of a continuous digital pipeline for its own product design data, enabling effective cross-company collaboration for the kitchen specialist.Robert Kross, senior vice president of Autodesk Manufacturing Solutions, said For global companies like Franke, macroeconomic trends such as globalization, sustainable product design and the need to manage complexity and technology innovation are the new realities for manufacturers today.By reducing their reliance on physical prototypes, Inventor is helping Franke find success in an ever-changing world, he added.Autodesk claimed that through its software, Franke was able to capture sketches and 3D concept model ideas in digital form throughout the industrial design phase, allowing its sinks like the recent Mythos range to profit from scrupulously honed design processes.
