US newspaper the National Post has named a food processor as its gadget of the week.An article by reporter Malcolm Jolley states that the Cuisinart has been picked as a best buy for both its usefulness and stylish design.Writing in the newspaper, Mr Jolley claims to have two of the gadgets one of which was bought in the 1970s.I love it dearly, he said of the food processors, but admits that its age means he does not use it regularly. His other, smaller, Cuisnart Mini-Prep Plus, however, is used two or three times a week mainly to chop wet marinade ingredients or herbs. The mini machine is also small enough to be easily carted around and its chopping parts fit easily into the dishwasher, he said.Figures from trade magazine Home World Business show that homeowners in the US splash 1 billion (495 million) on kitchen gadgets annually.
