The growing number of people living in small flats has led to a shortage of kitchen storage space, it has been observed.Susan Llewellyn, owner of interior design firm Susan Llewellyn Associates, noted that an obvious storage solution for homeowners is to put items in a garage or attic options that are often not available to flat owners. She therefore suggested storing superfluous items under a bed or in a chest of drawers as good makeshift alternatives.Elsewhere, Ms Llewellyn commented that homeowners should look to polish and clean good wood furniture about twice a year. After that, all you need is a soft duster to buff things up - also, a damp cloth for window ledges and white furniture just to keep everything clean and tidy, she said. The advice comes after a recent article by Franke Sinks hosted on lonad.com identified three basic kitchen functions storage, food preparation and clean-up.ADNFCR-1321-ID-800215383-ADNFCR
