Environmentally-friendly homeowners who are looking at redesigning a kitchen can take a number of steps to improve their green credentials, the Guardian claims.The newspaper advises people to opt for white goods with an EU A-rating for energy-efficiency.It states By choosing an appliance that carries an A-rating, the more money you can save and the more you can help the environment.The report also says many electrical appliances have an Energy Saving Trust energy saving recommended sticker.According to the trust, if every home upgraded their old kitchen appliances to ones bearing the sticker, the country could save approximately 700 million of electricity a year.Installing a sink disposer can also reduce the amount of waste households have to leave out for collection.In other kitchen-related news, the Vancouver Sun has said a kitchen sink is a key selling-point when homeowners decide to put their property on the market.
