Thames Water is warning customer about the dangers of fat in the drains Gangnam Style. Led by chief flusher Rob Smith a gang of sewer men sing about the dangers of tipping the fat from the Turkey down the drains. Smith says This Christmas, before you pour your turkey fat down the sink, ask yourself if youd like to see it again in a week later swimming around your lounge with a load of excrement - because thats a very real possibility. Our video is a bit of festive fun with a very serious message. Sewer flooding results in people literally getting their own back. Its horrific. Its got to stop. Thats why were hell-bent on getting people to take heed of the Sewermens war cry Bin it - dont block it. Got it? This is a continual problem for Thames Water as they spend 12million a year clearing around 80,000 sewer blockages. Just at Christmas alone an average of 500 tonnes of fat dumped in Thames Waters sewers, or the equivalent of one million Christmas puddings. Watch the video
