Dish towels unsung kitchen heroes

Dish towels are not often thought of as a particularly important aspect of kitchen design, but one expert has pointed out their uses.As well as being a practical necessity for cleaning up, dish towels can add to the look and feel of a kitchen, according to author Ellyn-Anne Geisel, who wrote The Kitchen Linens Book. She claimed that the dish towel is an unsung hero in the kitchen in this book and reiterated this opinion in the Miami Herald Home and Garden.Even when your home is a wreck, you can just take a lovely, brightly coloured cotton dish towel and hang it over the sink or from a cabinet or oven handle, she stated. This small piece of fabric anchors the space, giving a kitchen a sense of focus and orderliness I find uplifting. The low cost of finding suitable and attractive dish towels has also been pointed out as an advantage of concentrating on the items when designing kitchens.
