Design guru reveals new kitchen gadget

If you hate mopping your kitchen floor, design guru Yves Behar could have the solution you need.The days of struggling to fill the mop bucket up at the kitchen sink, battling with the stainless steel taps and then spilling the water all over the floor could soon be over as Swiss designer Behar has created the mopping robot.Launching later this year, the mopping robot is a joint project with new company Mint, an offshoot of the California business incubator company Idealab founded by Bill Gross.The robot was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show and is expected to hit shelves in the autumn.Behar, who is the man behind the 100 laptop and colourless eyeglasses for Mexican children, has made an effort to ensure his designs are sustainable and has been working with many different companies to help them achieve this too.Speaking to Forbes, he said To me this is the future of design sustainability.The mopping robot is the latest in new appliances and gadgets being revealed for the kitchen.Last week the Cambridge Design Partnership unveiled their new Maya Machine for creating high quality hot chocolate.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19838563-ADNFCR
