With more people possibly considering maintenance work for their kitchen sinks during the Easter holidays, a specialist has advised homeowners to look out for rogue DIY workers. A quarter of people have had an encounter with a cowboy builder or rogue trader, with older and younger residents being targeted as the most vulnerable, a survey conducted by Surveyshack for Bondpay has discovered. Martin Roberts, spokesman for Bondpay, said Home improvement is not a certain process and unfortunately, some contractors, have given the rest a bad name. Bondpay is exactly what the industry needs a bulletproof and secure way to pay for home improvements without any risk. The survey also found that one-third of people are not completing home improvements due to concerns over being financially exploited. Homeowners may be more vulnerable to rogue traders, as the Aberdeen Press and Journal recently reported on research from Magnet, which discovered that Britons spend more time in their kitchens than any other living area.
