A clothes designer applied her natural flair for style during her own home design.Shoe label owner Alison Mary Ching Yeung showed the Shanghai Daily around her home where she opted for a combination of Asian aesthetics and European style. This combination includes hardwood floors and typical Chinese style latticework in the windows, the news provider noted, while in the kitchen Ms Yeung chose an open-plan design that features an elegant chopstick table.According to the report, the kitchen layout was inspired by Ms Yeungs desire to promote communal gatherings in the room.I enjoy cooking, especially desserts, and I like to share my dishes with friends, she told the newspaper. She added that she enjoyed decorating her home with unique furniture, often made from recycled materials.Newsregister.com recently reported that a custom-built home had combined recycled materials in its fixtures with professional appliances and stainless steel counters in and around its kitchen sink area.
