Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

A top restaurant critic has said that a kitchen that looks good should be more important than having the latest appliances.S. Irene Virbila, critic for the Los Angeles Times, has used her latest article to take readers on a tour around her uniquely-designed kitchen. When it comes to my kitchen, Im not strictly practical, she says.Ms Virbila said that instead of using stainless steel cupboards she chose to keep her painted wood cabinets. She has also retained her original wood floor instead of opting for concrete.Other eclectic features in the kitchen include a cupboard converted from an old glass-fronted pharmacy cabinet from Indonesia. This shows off a range of differently sized food jars. Ms Virbila said that she enjoyed using food items as interesting and colourful decorations. Each of the beautiful things Ive collected gives me pleasure as I cook, she added.Last week, columnist Leanne Brownoff wrote for the Canwest News Service that people should avoid over-accessorising with appliances when it came to decorating their kitchens.
