Experts on kitchen design in the US have highlighted how copper is reappearing in kitchens across the globe. The metal, which in days gone by was often used to make pots and pans, is now staging a comeback and helping to give kitchens a rustic, rural feel. Speaking to the Chicago Tribune, Geri Higgins, owner of Kansas Citys Portfolio Kitchen Home, said Copper has always been a traditional accent in kitchens as copper pots and pans and as pitchers or pieces of copper gracing the tops of cabinetry. Now its reinvented itself.According to the newspaper, the attractive looking metal is now used in any number of utensils and kitchenware including the tops of counters, oven-hoods, cookware and cutlery. He adds that copper can help to add a lot of character to a kitchen, whether it features in taps, sinks or other parts of the room. Copper can easily translate into traditional or contemporary, depending on the application and design, he concluded. ADNFCR-1321-ID-18464305-ADNFCR
