An interior designer ensured her home was suitable for a range of cooking tasks by installing a huge central island with two kitchen sinks.Ger Smyth told Independent.ie that her husband has a strong passion for cooking and had taken the lead during the kitchen design.The granite island was added to help with various food preparation tasks and in addition to the two kitchen sinks, it features a dishwasher and several units while also offering space for a breakfast bar.Ms Smyth had the units made up by a custom-cabinetmaker while also installing various top-of-the-line appliances and cooking items.The news provider also noted that the couple had made a particular feature of the rooms lighting.
