A designer decided to install a kitchen tap above a stove to make cooking tasks easier for a family.Interior stylist Kathleen Donohue told the Bulletin that she chose to add the pot-filling tap because cooking was an important priority for the homeowners. She ensured the tap had a long enough neck to fill up pots on the stove and also installed a service sink by the cooker. In addition, Ms Donohue created a stylish backsplash for the stove area by using small, stacked slate pieces, interspersed with copper tiles. For countertops, she opted for black granite with an antique finish. This is easier to maintain than shiny granite its not at all fussy, said Ms Donohue. The design also features cupboard lights, which the newspaper said serve to add visual warmth by casting a golden glow over the kitchen. This week, the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel revealed that homeowners are adapting their kitchen sink areas to perform a range of functions, from storage to waste disposal.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19595252-ADNFCR
