Complete kitchen overhaul doesnt have to cost

Kitchen renovations may be expensive, but there are a number of ways of keeping costs down, it has been suggested. According to the Des Moines Register, homeowners Karen and Charlie Leibold did a complete overhaul of their kitchen in their US-based property and noted several tips for reducing expenses. Buying stock lighting instead of custom fixtures can help to save money, Ms Leibold said, with the current system still making the room light and bright.Another option is to look out for sales in retail outlets on expensive items such as cabinets, appliances and flooring, she added, as well as making sure the individual gets multiple quotes on work from contractors. Work completed on the couples cooking areas included adding an island with a kitchen sink already installed, as well as oak flooring, recessed lights and the replacement of all cabinets. Contractor and plumber Ed Del Grande, writing for HGTVPro.com recently noted that kitchen islands often come with an extra sink for convenience.
