Choose an architect for large-scale kitchen projects

People looking to make a large-scale change to their kitchen should consider bringing in an architect to help them, it has been suggested. Josh Garskof, contributing to Money Magazine, noted that this type of professional may be preferred over a general contractor because they are more likely to formulate an integrated solution for kitchen sink areas. He remarked An architect is trained to design the new space around your familys lifestyle and to weave it seamlessly into the existing house. This could incur costs of up to five or ten per cent more during the planning stage, Mr Garskof explained, as well as increased expenditure for the actual building work. Homeowners were advised that if the changes they wish to implement are going to exceed ten per cent of the propertys value, it is probably better to recruit an architect. Reed Business Information recently reported recommendations put forward by designer Andrew Dee that those thinking of renovating their residence may like to consider putting in two kitchen sinks for increased functionality.
