A Chicago kitchen designer has drawn on legendary Egyptian king Tutankhamun for his latest innovations, according to Kitchen and Bath Design News.Designer and president of Catalina Kitchen Studio Giulio Giometti made the idea of discovery the key to his newest designs, after visiting an Egypt-themed museum.He told Kitchen and Bath Design News The design inspiration [for the showroom] was that of many museum special exhibits, which create a journey of discovery on every turn.Discussing the effects on his new Catalina showroom, Mr Giometti continued Thats what we wanted to do and I think we accomplished a subtle separation of each display so that they have their own identity.According to the home specialist site Mr Giometti is attempting to introduce high-end kitchen design into areas of Chigago where dealers were few and far between, with a new showroom now taking shape in the Orland Park suburb.A key facet of Catalinas top-end kitchen design is its top-of-the-range supply of kitchen appliances, with sinks and taps from Franke and other quality providers offering treasures of discovery in amongst Mr Giomettis Egypt-inspired designs.
