A leading kitchens writer has highlighted the changing face of kitchen design in the worlds fastest growing economy.Writing in the China Daily, Xiao Changyan has examined the rise in so-called live-in kitchens, which feature all the trapping of a traditional kitchen but also include such items as a television and internet access.The kitchen in the home of newlyweds Yu Ming and Zhang De is one such example of the kind of hybrid kitchen/dining room becoming increasing popular in the towns and cities of this vast and fascinating country.Yu told the paper The kitchen, which is pleasing but not showy, is the new heart of my small home. In this space we cook, eat and entertain together.While the kitchens use as a space for entertaining and socialising is becoming increasingly popular around the world, the installation of certain key fixtures and fittings, such as a model from the attractive and functional range of County kitchen taps, is still top of the list for the homeowner.
