Ceramic sinks can recover from scuff marks

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Ceramic kitchen sinks are often considered among the most durable and stain resistant, but some advice has been issued on what to do in the eventuality of a scratch being incurred.Aggie MacKenzie, co-presenter of How Clean Is Your House? and household agony aunt for the Times Magazine, claimed that scuff marks on a ceramic model should not be a cause for panic. Some of Frankes most popular models are ceramic sinks, such as the GAK611, and the product is kiln-fired to withstand higher than average temperatures and provide greater resistance to scratches and stains. But even the toughest models are not immune, and the Times writer claimed that inevitable scuff marks could be removed by running the taps and rubbing a wet pumice stone against the marks.Doing so would restore the damaged sink to its original form, it was claimed. While ceramic sinks are seen as hygienic and stain resistant, stainless steel models are often considered the most durable and resistant to attack from a range of materials.ADNFCR-1321-ID-18519108-ADNFCR
