British homeowners are now spending more time near their sink accessories, as they are in their kitchen more often than they are in other rooms, a study underlines. This is because modern kitchens are now seen as a diverse space within homes, where people can meet, eat, study and hold social activities, according to research from Magnet that has been reported by the Aberdeen Press and Journal. The study found that Britons have two hours of relaxation time in their kitchen every day, which is half an hour more than they do in their lounge.Furthermore, residents spend more money decorating their kitchen than other rooms, with 19,000 being the average expenditure, which is significantly more than the 6,000 spent on lounges.Kitchen Door Workshop has also claimed that British property owners can now complete kitchen makeovers on a more regular basis. In addition, the group emphasised that people are now more adventurous with their kitchen designs.
