A new kitchen design has been developed which aims to bring the luxury of a yacht experience into peoples homes.The Design Blog reported on the Boat Kitchen by Italian design firm AR-TRE, which was exhibited at the Salone del Milano last month.Featuring a curvy, glossy table/counter which resembles the front deck of a luxury yacht, the stylish kitchen was described as an attractive fusion of glass and wood.It is hoped the life-size kitchen will be particularly complementary with the luxury interior of contemporary apartments, the blog said.Elsewhere, it observed that the kitchen features elegant white cupboards, chairs and stools, which equally complement the finesse of the table.Meanwhile, the Chicago Tribune reported last week that eco-friendly, wooden kitchen sinks were recently on show at a design exhibition in the US.It said the sinks were one of the most innovative creations at the exhibition, adding that several sink manufacturers are now using wood as a green alternative to porcelain or stainless steel.
