Blenders are the kitchens secret weapon

Blenders are versatile kitchen gadgets that can help with a wide range of cooking tasks, it has been suggested. The Observer Food Monthly blog referred to the Action Cook Book by Len Deighton in which the writer notes that blenders can be used for a huge number of jobs including making mayonnaise, grinding coffee beans or rice, sieving flour, frothing milk for coffee and rescuing lumpy sauces. However, it was also suggested that some people may be scared of using blenders given the possibility for accidents.Ive lost count of the number of times I caused eruptions on a volcanic scale and just as hot, either because I had overfilled the thing or failed to remove the stopper when liquidising hot soup, said the blog.To allay these concerns, it pointed to the range of alternative blenders including hand, stick or immersion options. The blog suggested that such blenders offer various advantages including less washing up over the kitchen sink and the ability to blend at source rather than having to decant.Meanwhile, Simon Errill, managing director at Stonehouse Tiles, recently suggested that a growing number of homeowners are seeking to adopt nature-inspired looks within their kitchens.
