An artisan has created a series of environmentally-friendly countertops by using recycled glass.Kyle Contris, who owns a custom refurbishment company, told the Olympian that his concrete and recycled glass counters contain 80 per cent recycled material. He said that homeowners are attracted to the product because it offers them a unique work surface for use around the kitchen sink or on a central island. Its artistic for them and its artistic for us, because each thing were making is different, he added.Mr Contris invites customers to devise a colour combination and a template before their counters are created. He said that concrete will resist bleach, but noted that the surface and the sealer can sometimes be scratched and advised kitchen owners with concrete counters to avoid using steel wool and abrasive pads. This week, Kenis Loven Construction, a specialist cabinetmaker in the US, wrote for the Woodinville Weekly that most custom furniture shops will make a particular effort to meet the demands of any kitchen design project in order to retain customers.
