One of the worlds most successful fashion designers has made his mark on the luxury kitchen market in the Middle East with the opening of his latest boutique.Giorgio Armanis Armani/Casa store has just opened in Dubai and features some of the design houses beautiful designs for this important part of the home, reports the National.The kitchen designs are produced by a newer part of the design houses stable, Armani/Dada, in collaboration with the Italian kitchen firm Molteni.A highlight of the collection is the Bridge Kitchen, which incorporates a free-standing unit which houses twin stainless steel kitchen sinks and filter taps, with other appliances such as the refrigerator placed along the adjacent walls.The designer himself is as clear about his philosophy when designing kitchens as he is when putting together his latest catwalk collection.Design is about a combination of beauty and function, he told the magazine.The process of creating products for the home and for fashion collections is actually very similar both skills require an ability to imagine things in three dimensions, and to translate sketches into reality.
