Strong, dynamic colours like purple and burgundy make a real design statement.But Percy Contractor of Kitchen Culture, broadened the palate even further, telling Kitchens Bedrooms and Bathrooms Magazine (kbbmagazine.com) that people should express their own individuality in a kitchens colour scheme.Any colour goes as long as a texture break occurs with an alternative material such as timber, steel or aluminium, he said.The magazine said that kitchens were increasingly important areas for homeowners, urging those attempting a redesign to let loose, with colour itself on the up, but no particular one ruling the roost.For kitchen colour enthusiasts, choosing a sink does not have to be a dampener, with top models like Frankes COG 611 Propack coming in shades of fragranite champagne, green, oatmeal, white or silksheen graphite.
