Antiques could be good value kitchen accessories

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Antiques offer homeowners very good value for money when compared with modern objects, the British Antique Dealers Association (BADA) has said.Mark Dodgson, a spokesman for BADA, commented that antiques are well built, well constructed and crafted items and represent good value for money when compared with high quality modern things. He was speaking after the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) reported a rise in art and antique prices as part of its latest UK Arts and Antiques survey.According to RICS, such a trend reflects a view among buyers that the antiques market is a good place to invest at present.Meanwhile, the Cooma Monaro Express reported earlier this week that a bowling club in Australia is inviting homeowners to bring their various old appliances and fixtures - including the kitchen sink - to a super garage sale. The event, which is being held at the Cooma Bowling Club in New South Wales this Saturday (October 30th), was scheduled after the club committee realised that its storage shed was holding equipment and various odds and sods that are no longer used.
