Accent walls can make a kitchen more interesting

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Homeowners can make their kitchens more aesthetically pleasing by painting one wall in a different colour, it has been argued.A series of painting tips from Debbie Zimmer at the Paint Quality Institute in the US claim that a so-called accent wall can add visual interest to any space and create an opportunity to introduce another hue into your colour scheme. The tips, which are set out on KansasCity.com, also suggest that people just paint the interior windows and trim.It was argued that this can produce a dramatic change in almost any room, but especially in those where the walls are painted in a neutral colour like beige or off-white. Elsewhere, homeowners were advised to paint just a few exterior architectural details in order to create some interesting features.Meanwhile, Carolyn Forte of Good Housekeeping recently noted that the kitchen sink has become the focal point for most activities in the room.
