A huge kitchen revamp that holds nothing back on sink, tap and worktop luxury could be on the cards for the winner of a new competition, with 60,000 of kitchen equipment up for grabs.Hospitality news specialist Caterer and Hotelkeeper is offering the promise of copious kitchenware, alongside design advice, installation and training for the lucky winner of the competition, which ties in with next years Hotelympia event in London.To provide the offer, Caterer and Hotelkeeper is teaming up with the Catering Equipment Distributors Association and Hotelympia organisers Fresh RM, with the winner allowed to choose the equipment from a list of 16 supplier sponsors.Both residential and industrial kitchens often require extensive budgets for a full revamp, with expensive appliances like ovens frequently making kitchen makeovers among the most expensive.But for home DIY enthusiasts, making a kitchen more suitable for the demands of busy modern life can often be achieved by simple measures like the installation of a new bigger sink (two or 1.5 bowls) or the purchase of an In-Sink-Erator food-grinding sink waste disposal unit.Meanwhile, the recipient of the generous Caterer and Holtelkeeper prize will have little concern for cost, with a range of potential equipment and design ideas set to go on show at Hotelympia, when the exhibition arrives in London from the 17-21st February.
